On December 9, the match of the last round of the Europa League group stage will take place, in which the Polish Legia will play at home with the Russian Spartak. The forecast for this match is given by the well-known midfielder of the Spanish "Celta" and the Russian national team, Alexander Mostovoy.
Both teams started their journey this season in the Champions League qualification, but ended up in a less status-based European Cup tournament, and the situation is such that almost certainly one of them will remain without a European Cup spring. At the same time, the teams do not shine in their national championships – Spartak takes only ninth place in the RPL, and Legia is in the relegation zone in the Ekstraklasa at all.
The Poles managed to beat Spartak in Moscow with a score of 1:0. Given the way that meeting was going, this victory can be called illogical. Many doubted that after the initial home setback, the Red-whites would have a serious chance of reaching the Europa League playoffs, but two wins over Napoli and an away draw with Leicester keep Rui Vitoria's team chances even for first place in the group, but for this it is necessary to win in Warsaw.
Alexander Mostovoy expects a hard fight in this match. The situation in the group is ambiguous, as is the game of Spartak. But the expert is still inclined to believe that Muscovites will be closer to victory in this duel.
