In the 1/16 finals at the Kremlin Cup, Alexander Bublik from Kazakhstan will play against Ukrainian Ilya Marchenko.
Alexander Bublik
The 24-year-old representative of Kazakhstan at the end of September at the home tournament in Nur-Sultan played a couple of good matches, but still without much success. In the 1/16 finals , Bublik beat Miomir Ketsmanovich from Serbia in three sets – 2:6; 6:3; 7:5. In the 1/8 finals, a victory over the Spaniard Carlos Taberner followed - 6:3; 6:4. But in the quarterfinals, Bublik already quite unexpectedly lost to the representative of Korea Kwon Sung-woo – 6:3; 5:7; 3:6.
Ilya Marchenko
The 34-year-old Ukrainian successfully played in the qualifying final for the Kremlin Cup, where he managed to beat Yuri Rodionov from Australia in two sets – 6:4; 6:1. In general, we can say that Marchenko is in good shape now, and he is certainly ready to stay in Moscow.
Forecast
In this match, Alexander Bublik is almost a known favorite, but the representative of Kazakhstan has not played for more than two weeks, but Marchenko, again, is in good shape. Maybe Ilya will not be able to win this match, but we will certainly see a tight fight and therefore it is worth risking betting on a total of more than 2.5 sets.
