In the 1/8 finals at the tournament in Naples, German tennis player Yannick Hanfmann will play with Alexander Ritshard from the USA.
The 29-year-old Hanfmann is holding his second tournament in Naples. In the first tournament, Yannick beat Italian Luca Nardi in the 1/16 finals – 6:0; 2:6; 6:1. But then the German unexpectedly lost to another representative of Italy – Andrea Pellegrino, who eventually reached the final - 3:6; 3:6. At the start of the second tournament in Naples, Hanfmann beat another Italian Raul Brancaccio in three sets – 6:4; 5:7; 6:2.
The 27-year-old U.S. representative also stayed in Naples for the second tournament. In the first tournament, which was in early October, Ritshard beat Czech Jonas Foritek at the 1/16 finals stage – 6:4; 6:4. But then Alexander was unlucky with the grid, the representative of the Netherlands Tallon Grikspur got into his opponents, Ritshard gave a good fight, but eventually lost in three sets – 6:3; 5:7; 1:6. Grikspur won the tournament in Naples as a result. For the second tournament in Naples, Ritshard had to fight his way through qualifying. In the semifinals of qualification, Alexander beat Arjun Kadhe from India - 6:3; 6:3. And as a result, the Romanian Philip-Cristian Gianu was beaten in two sets – 6:3; 6:3. In the 1/16 finals, the tennis player from the USA even more confidently coped with Jay Clark from Great Britain - 6:0; 6:1.
In this match, Yannick Hanfmann is the favorite, the German has more experience in such tournaments, and he has already achieved much more significant successes. Perhaps Ritshard will give a good fight again, but we are still confident that Hanfmann will win this match.
