In the 1/8 finals at the tournament in Naples, French representative Mathias Burg will play with Italian Franco Agamenone.
The 27-year-old Burg played a good Challenger in Murcia at the end of September, which also took place on the ground. Mathias reached the semifinals, where, due to injury, he failed to properly compete with a more serious opponent, Roberto Carbales Baena from Spain. Burg lost the first set 3-6, in the second the score was 0:3 in favor of the Spaniard, and Mathias decided to end the fight ahead of schedule. In the second tournament in Naples at the stage of the 1/16 finals, Burg confidently beat the Italian Luciano Darderi - 6:2; 6:4.
The 28-year-old representative of Italy won the dirt Challenger in Kiev in mid-September. In the final, Agamenone beat Argentine Sebastian Baez - 7:5; 6:2. After that, Franco took a short break at the end of the month and looked into Romania, but there he managed to reach only the quarterfinals, where he was beaten by Marc-Andrea Husler from Switzerland – 7:6 (7:5); 6:4. At the first tournament in Naples, which was in early October, Agamenone lost in the 1/16 finals to his compatriot Andrea Vavassori – 6:2; 1:6; 2:6. But in the second tournament in Naples at the stage of the 1/16 finals, Franco immediately began with a sensational victory over Frenchman Hugo Gaston – 6:4; 2:6; 6:3.
In this match, Franco Agamenone is already almost a clear favorite, which seems a little unreasonable, it's worth taking a chance and betting on Mathias Burg's victory.
