In the quarterfinals of the challenger in Kemper, Canadian Vasek Pospisil will play against Tim van Rijthoven from the Netherlands.
Vashek Pospisil
The 31-year-old Pospisil is gradually starting to gain good shape. Vera in the 1/8 finals, Vashek confidently beat Lukasz Latsko from Slovakia. Initially, the tennis players, as we expected, competently controlled their serve, but at the end of the first set, the Canadian was still able to make a break and eventually win with a score of 6:4. In the second set, the picture of the match changed only by the fact that this time Latsko had a chance to make a break in the middle of the game, but the Slovak did not take advantage of his chance, immediately after that Vashek made his break. At the very end, Lukas could still try to save the game, but he failed to make a break even with the score 40:15 in his favor. As a result, the second set ended with a score of 6:3 in favor of Pospisil.
Tim van Rijthoven
But the 24-year-old representative of the Netherlands continues to surprise at the challenger in France. So far, Tim has not lost a single game in the Camper, but he has already played four games together with the qualification matches. Yesterday, in the 1/8 finals, van Reithoven beat Pole Kasper Zhuk in two sets – 7:5; 6:4. In each of the sets, van Reithoven and Zhuk controlled their serves quite competently, but Tim managed to wait for the moment and make the coveted break every time.
Forecast
Despite such a good move, sooner or later, van Reithoven should start to lose momentum with such a tight schedule. And considering that Vashek Pospisil just played out at the challenger in France, it should happen just today.
